TV party and parfait party
Please don't get the impression that I am having wild parties every night. It's all very proper, with tea and snacks. I can almost imagine Xyz in her British accent, saying 'Would you like a cup of tea?' lol! In a desperate bid to surround ourselves with more activities, we decided to have a TV party every Monday night and the venue will be rotated around our apartments. First, Eleanor's posh and warm apartment, then my old and comfy one, then Sasha's apartment with the big, tall single bed. Me and Eleanor were too stingy to bother to get a bed so we sleep on the floor. So here we are in my apartment, enjoying the snacks and tv.
There are several circles (or ECAs as we call it) here who are absolutely obsessed and facinated with the foreign student and spend all their activities focused on them. By foreign student, I believe their image consists mostly of the ang mohs. But I don't care and just went ahead to attend this parfait party organised by this circle. Most of the Japanese there were extremely shy and reserved so I guess some of the loud brash ang mohs is the perfect antidote to bring them out of the shell. There was this Russian guy who was romancing this Japanese girl and she was so falling for him! Pish! While looking at all the drama going on, I was enjoying myself with making the parfait. It was especially fun scooping the ice-cream. I am not sure if this picture is clear enought but the parfait was enormous!!!!
