Time waits for no bitch: Ungolden Golden Week
It's finally time for me to acknowledge the irreversible fact that my bitch is an old bitch. Went to a dog show recently with my Variel and all the dog food samples I received were for senior dogs once I told them she's 9. Sigh! Like I keep telling you all, she is gonna die soon and I will be stuck dog-less cos I can't buy my border collie here in Japan.
Anyway, the dog show is an unapologetically commercial affair. No confirmation (i.e. beauty) competition, obedience or agility competition. Just go, follow the rules and line up to get your free dog food samples from the various stands there. I did get to make some great buys and 1/4 of my aunt's extremely belated birthday present.
All these happen during my extremely unevenful Golden Week. It a week with 4 japan national holidays and it's such a great affair that the news covers reports on the flocks of people rushing to leave and return on the first and last day of the holiday period. There were also reports of a 24km traffic jam leading to Tokyo. Hmmm... is this the length of singapore??
