During the SUN
Then there comes a series of sunny days ideally accompanied with air-con temperature of 19 to 21 degrees. Here are two separate incidents that happened during a sunny day or a day that left my heart feeling especially warm:
1) Wine and cheese picnic: And OMG, do they really drink!! No elegant sipping of red and white wine from pretty glasses. I drank my red from a mug! About 8 bottles of wine with lots of cheese and crackers all wolfed down my 6 people on a sunny Monday afternoon. I even skipped classes for this. Well, classes is not as important as the exercise of getting chummy with my seniors. Especially when I am seriously short of friends here.
This guy here is Jun san. He drank too much, fell asleep looking really like a vagrant. Then the others started adorning his face with Art. He was really good sport cos even after he woke up, he calmly sat there and let them continue their pursuit of the ultimate human body Art. Oh, he going to be an exchange student in NUS this coming August so look out for him! Lucky him!! What is he gonna think about the wonderful wireless network there?! Btw, I fell asleep too and was honored to contribute to their Art too. Luckily, they drew on my legs!
2) Sunny incident 2. The arrival of Ayu chan! She's a nikkeijin from Bolivia. Means Japanese born in Bolivia. We were on the same scholarship from Okinawa and she was one of the closer friends I had among the nikkeijin from South America. Unfortunately, they tend to have a very close in-group so it's very difficult to get in. Once Guiying comes in August, I will have 2 friends from my Okinawa days here! Real friends! Wow!!! They are in such low supply here.
