Sept 3-10th: I won't go to Tokyo in the summer liao
Iyo-iyo (finally), I am back on my track. Here's my very very belated photos from my summer trip to tokyo with my darling Variel. I won't do much explanation cos I am really too busy these days. Just let the pictures do the talking.
The famous (to me) Kichijouji. Cos I help CNA translate their documentry on this place before.
Ling is as genki as ever. I am so glad to see her. Even amidst the humid heat in Tokyo. My most most important meal in Tokyo. Fuckkin aka First Kitchen!!! I lurve the myraid dips and fries.
After a satisfying meal at Fuckkin, it's back to Ling chan's apartment for wine and cheese...
Next day, it's our long awaited, anime/manga otaku reunion at the karaoke!!
And this was when Ling first introduced me to the addictive Royal Milk tea pudding from Pastel!! It's so good that I bought it again at Haneda airport before I flew back.
Dinner with Mariko. This is a really good restaurant. I really wanna go back when I visit Kichijoji again! Why do I use 'when'? Read on...
Desert at Baskin Robbins Strangely, although this is the only one picture, this is the reason why I want to go back to Tokyo, especially in the cooler seasons. For my darling Butler Cafe, Swallowtail!!!!! Entrance is only by reservation a month in advance on the internet. Once I enter the cafe, I am greeted with Okaerinasaimase, Ojousama (Welcome home, my lady). Ohhhhhhh!!! Moe!!!!! Anyway, it's an experience totally worth repeating.
After the cafe, which serves very good but not filling food, me and Ling went to her Oyako don restaurant. I can only say that it's good enough that I actually finished the rice!
Ling chan's mobile. Amazing, right?
Another visit to the karaoke, this time with my Variel. Sing, my precious angel of music, Sing!!!!
After a satisfying bout of karaoke, it's dinner with Ling and her bf, Takahiro! After dinner, I bid my farewell to Ling and when off to my next issorou saki (free bed), Naoko's place!
Immediately the next day, me and Naoko went to take a look around Akihabara. We actually ventured into an erotica manga store. 18yrs and below not allow!!! Needless to say, lots of women drawn with watermelon sized breasts and etc.
Asakusa:
We started our Asakusa tour with the extremely delicious macha desert.
Naoko's Macha Pudding
Mine. Don't remember the name at all. Just that the macha icecream is a killer!
Just like my last trip to Okinawa, visiting a place with Naoko means a touristy ride on a rickshaw! This is the first time I sat on a true blue rickshaw, and Variel too! It's soooo funny!
Naoko, Me and Variel at the famous entrance of Asakusa:
Naoko praying that the weather will become cooler for me!
Two models along the streets of Asakusa
Last night with Naoko: At a Vietnamese restaurant with Variel hidden in her bag. Very good food.
Last pic with Naoko before she leaves. I get to stay alone in her/her father's apartment!
My last Pastel Royal Earl Grey Milk Tea Pudding on the flight back to Sapporo while enjoying the view from the window seat.
