Facing Facebook
Let's face it. Facebook breeds voyeurism. Yup. Blame it all on facebook that I have taken to clicking on friends' friends pictures, checking up on friends' friends, playing on pet games and checking up on whoever had petted me etc. All in a bid to NOT study. Gone were the good old days where I constructively clean my room, brush/cut/clean Variel's fur and wash the toilet in my effective search for an excuse to not study during the exam period.
And I ended up adding more friends than I can be comfortable with in my account. So much so that I have taken my blog link away from my facebook account just so that I can still freely express myself in this medium, at the very least. Sigh!! However, I do dislike playing politics, not to mention that so much of it goes over my blur head most of the time anyway. Since my research could be at stake, I really have no choice. I must say that there is this insistent dilemma how I should/could uphold the codes of conduct and morals in my research that I kept feeling in the back of my mind. Maybe I should just return to the drudgery of work sans my admirable work ethic of throwing all caution to the winds as long as my backside is well and truly covered. It is more satisfactorily immoral than research.
