My heart in Okinawa
Just saw the photos Seiko put up in facebook. Yappari, my heart will always belong to Okinawa. Even though all my friends are dispersed to the ends of the earth, Okinawa will still be my hometown. Cold and lonely Hokkaido will never replace it.
I like snowboarding, but the cold here definitely freezes people in terms of relationship. It's too cold to visit my friends anyway. And I feel bad making my friends brave the snow and cold to come and visit me. I don't go to school, cos I am afraid of falling to my death on the slippery ice. So I don't get to see or talk to my classmates. Sometimes, some people might seem exceptionally warm towards me. But that just makes everything feel so fake.
Hokkaido is all right. But if I put it next to Okinawa, it severely pales in comparison. I might have grown to not dislike Hokkaido. But I don't think I will ever truly love this cold and severe island.
