My soul for sale
These days, I can totally relate to item no 15 in Mayu's tag. Getting paid to work feels good. I wonder if it is worthwhile to discard my dreams and simply join the rat race.
To bring you up to date, Guiying kindly gave me a lobang to translate awebsiteand its related magazine belonging to JTB Hokkaido. I managed to increase the pay to 5 yen per word and 8 yen per word if they need it within 3 days. If I manage to concentrate and not start facebook-ing or blogging, I can finish 1000 words in an hour. That means at least 5000 yen in an hour. I had almost forgotten how wonderful it feels to be paid for translating. Cos I had been doing volunteer translating/interpreting for the Indigenous Peoples Summit before, during and after. It is not that I love to translate, unless the contents interest me. Travel guide on Hokkaido is great, cos I get to learn more about Hokkaido and I am familiar with the contents since I live here!
To be, or not to be a mindless drone. That is the question!
