Making lemonade
I had been trying to make lemonade these days. Which was not easy, since I don't even have lemons to begin with. Wish I can just wave a magic wand and poof! lemonade appears. As Teresa so very well know, I am a tremendously kiam siap person. So I hate it when something happens to my precious lemons.
Yes, I know that I am supposed to trust in the Man upstairs (could be Woman too!) cos S/He will provide. And what is a few thousand dollars when I need tens of thousands to further my studies. I do think that in some tiny corner of my dark sinful heart, there exist a glimmer of belief that S/He will provide. Perhaps I had been too spoilt in life, having all kinds of good things thrown in my lap. So a series of minor hiccups (e.g., insufficient lemons) seemed like a Fuji mountain blocking my way. Not to mention the fact that I was brought up to believe in hoarding lemons in my little UOB cave (like what I told Erica, this is CHINESE culture). Losing one or two lemons is like apocalypse to me. And, unlike my sis, I suck at self-rationalizing events to my advantage.
At least at the end of the day, I hope I can enjoy a cup of very much diluted lemonade with Variel back in humid singapore.
