한글~ Learning Korean
You may be wondering what I had been up to these days. Learning Korean!!! Just went to my second lesson at Toa Payoh CC and may I say, this is a difficult language. Much much more difficult than Japanese.
Their alphabet is much similar to english, with different consonants and vowels coming together to make a word. Basically, there are about 18 consonants and 10 basic vowels and 11 extremely difficult to pronounce vowels. How can there be so many vowels in the first place?!?! I keep thinking when I will be able to speak korean as well as my japanese...
Why would I take Korean when I am not really that into korean culture? Simple. Cos I like to multi-task. I like to listen to tv while brushing Variel. But I can't do that with Korean dramas. Thus, the need to learn the language. Unfortunately, there are very few good chinese or Japanese dramas nowadays. And it's not so easy to find sites that stream US sitcoms.
Time to decorate my room with post-it notes filled with korean.
