A zest for life
This is perhaps a 'Part 2' of the previous post. After the movie, I had a conversation with Adeline that led to a slight revelation about myself.
Our conversation turned to cancer and the topic of wanting to die young and beautiful. That was when I realized that I definitely do not want to die young and beautiful (erm... though I can't be confident of ensuring my physical state of 'beauty' in the first place). There are so many things to do, so many new stuff to try out. I have yet to backpack over the whole of Europe by myself. I must see the completed Sagrada Familia!! And what about roadtrips across Canada and US! Watch all the Broadway/ West End musicals! I definitely look forward to enjoying senior discounts for ski lift tickets!! Or stealing groceries out of those young punks' grocery baskets and cutting queues! I would love to ride in cars that fly, visit the moon and mars, beam myself to Japan in 5 seconds and more. Nope, notwithstanding any dire and extenuating circumstances like diseases or war, dying young is definitely not an option for me. Not when there is so much to life that I want to enjoy!!
