Through tinted lenses
I always wonder at people who see Japan through tinted lenses. And it tends to make me want to take the exact opposite extreme, whether it is in stalwart defense of Japan's current generation who are unaware, through no deliberate action on their part, of Japan's war atrocities, or to openly state that life in Japan as a foreigner is definitely not perfect especially when you are surrounded by Japanese who will always treat you as an outsider and when you can never exactly figure out the nuances of interaction unique to their culture.
Why can't these extremist take a more moderate stance?? Why must Japan either be a perfect country or an evil country to them??? Yes, I am given to an occasional spurt of nostalgia for my lovely room in Sapporo, for cycling through Hokudai filled with autumn foilage, for riding my danna down powder snow covered Kiroro slopes, for my lovely friends in Sapporo and even for my senpai-s in my graduate class. But I do not and will not miss that damn country ALL-THE-TIME and be consumed by an overwhelming desire and absolutely unhealthy obsession for that place. Nor will I flaunt such a warped obsession for all to see. This is my stance and I am sorry if any of you disagrees.
Btw, I got 720 for Verbal and 660 for quantitative. ^^ I just can't calculate under time constraints.
